Key areas of expertise:
  • Writing and editing T-REX – our subscription-only regulatory update service
  • Facilitating training sessions – both public sessions and sessions tailored to individual organisations
  • Reviewing and updating compliance documentation
Admitted to practice: March 2004
Career achievements: For many years, Sam edited and wrote a substantial amount of content for T-REX, which is published by Compact and our associated law firm Holley Nethercote.  She helped manage this subscription-only tailored monthly regulatory exchange since it began in 2004.  It is a concise, reliable and practical resource, which is valued highly by our subscribers – both in the financial services and credit licensing sectors.
Qualifications: Arts (Hons) and Law (Hons) from University of Melbourne, completed in 2003.
Future aspirations: Sam’s aspiration (for now and the future) is to communicate with clients in a way that is meaningful to them – so that they understand their regulatory obligations and know what they have to do next.
Interests outside of work: Sam enjoys having adventures with her husband and three children.  Her favourite adventures involve a tent and wombats.  She sings in a choir, reads novels, plays tennis and works in the garden.  She loves a cup of tea and a long chat
Favourite quote: “I cannot swim in this sea of semantic exercises.” Lord Denning MR said this in one of his judgments.  I often feel the same way!
